Once in a great while, we get enough to make a small snow man if we use all the snow from three adjacent yards.
So basically, the downsides to snow and no upside (unless your a kid, in which case all you need is a couple millimeters to get a day off).

negatory its still a balmy 40 some degrees round here with rain

I live in rural Saskatchewan. The snow will be here until May.

I can distinguish most of them easily :)
Amusingly enough, with their ground clearance and tall bodies, these are more like crossovers than conventional modern sedans.

I wish we got snow here. No “measurable” snow since 1870. Snowfall is measurable when there is at least one-tenth of an inch on the ground.

We get ice much more often than we get snow. Probably won’t get either this year. It was in the 60s on Christmas Day.

We got about 10" which is a pretty good amount for the DC area.

None at all. It’s been a very mild winter here in my little corner of the PNW.

I haven’t seen that much snow in 35 years, when we had a huge blizzard in Norfolk, VA when I was a kid. And it hit in March.

But snow is actually pretty rare there, at least west of the mountains, right? My brother lives in Oakland and says they never even have thunderstorms.

It was a pretty good spread depending on where you were; in and around the ‘Burgh it’s about two inches, with more to the south in West Va and Maryland and out east in the mountains. I’d guess I got around an inch-and-a-half, but it was gone this morning.
They’ve started in on three possible systems this week: one on Wednesday morning , maybe 1-2 inches, maybe nothing. System # 2 will be Thursday night, right now they’re saying 2-4 inches, with some ice thrown in (FUN!). Finally they’re thinking Nor’easter this coming weekend, but they’re being non-committal about it beyond that.

But my corner is east of the mountains! Our average snowfall is something like 45" so it’s not exactly Buffalo but we do usually get some .

We got about 2 inches. There is probably an inch of icy slush outside since the temp went up to 35F and it was sunny today.

I feel like winter forgot about this slice of the US this year
This morning talk show radio was talking about how the last snowfall greater than 6" in our area was over a year ago now, which is odd to say the least.

Global Warming, Climate Change, whatever. I’m not a naysayer, but I think all we can really say with certainty is that the weather is screwed up, and prone to either extreme violence or extreme nothing.

No snow in Boston, and none predicted until the weekend.
I did get snow when I was in Austin though:
Just a little, but also enough to snarl the city (some places were not as clear as my parking lot). And they said I was mad to bring my ice scraper! Also that Bronco was a great color, really nice in the sun.

1/24/2014, so a while ago now (note now obsolete inspection sticker). I cleaned off my car to go to a doctor’s appointment, saw a bunch of crashed cars on Ben White (though I didn’t find the driving bad), then found out the office was closed.

I’m in the small slice of the midwest that has missed out. Everywhere north of me has tons of snow, mostly everywhere south does as well, all we’ve gotten is maybe close to a foot at the end of December, and that’s mostly melted now.

I’ve shoveled once so far this season and have only started my snowblower once just to make sure it would fire up.

Wow, four years ago. I probably have a picture of that somewhere.

I did get the snowblower out once, then again the next day once everything I blew out blew back in, and that’s been it.

I live in Montana. So yes, there has been snow on the ground since November. Not my picture, but you get the picture.

We barely even get rain or any “weather” like clouds. So uhhh snow is not in the picture haha. It is forecasted to rain all week though which is exciting. Ill be visiting plenty of snow though on vacation for the next three weeks. Thats how snow should always be - only seen when traveling. I dont need that shit at home.

There is some mommy blogger out there who said, “There is no bad weather. Only bad clothes.” I tend to agree. I love a good rainstorm, as long as I’m dressed for it.

Like 3 inches, so about 10 minutes of shoveling and the roads were all pretreated, so nothing stuck there. Woke up early because the forecast said we might get more overnight (we didn’t), so I went into work about 30 minutes early.
The schools were still off, for some reason. I guess school buses can’t get traction on dry, dusty, salt caked roads.

Dressing for it doesnt solve the traffic shit storm it creates here though. Part of the problem is that it never drizzles here, only pours. So you dont get light rain, just immediate flash flooding and craziness. And then it happens so infrequently that nobody can handle it either. People go full speed ahead at 80+ until they crash and then the roads are all at a standstill.
Pretty crazy though that the 5 is closed right now due to snow and I am sure that is affecting the rest of the LA area due to traffic expanding outward.

I live in Central Illinois and go to college in Missouri, but thankfully I chose the right time to visit my girlfriend in South Carolina. I’d much rather be on the beach in 55° and sunny weather than 20° with 10 inches of snow like my family got.
